Hammond Close – Durrington

The buildings were arranged as 2 terraces of four houses with 2/3 bedrooms, and a detached 2 bedroom `gatehouse`.

The detached 2 bedroom ‘Gate House’ has a balcony overlooking the rear garden.

Each house was traditionally built incorporating very high levels of insulation and an environmentally friendly ‘low NOx’ condensing gas boiler to keep energy bills to a minimum, and reduce the release of harmful gasses into the atmosphere.

In accordance with Code for Sustainable Homes all aspects of the construction and future use of the houses were assessed from the use of recycled or locally produced materials to the installation of renewable energy systems such as solar panels – whilst encouraging the use of water saving devices, home recycling and composting- we even provided a garden shed for secure bicycle storage!

All plots benefitted from car barn covered parking, accessed via a gated driveway.
